I can't believe that it's time to read yet another book........

I'm pleased to say that i finished splendor, bringing my total of books to ten.
this week progress will most likely be slower, as the enormity of the task i am undertaking is finally hitting me.
i enjoyed finishing the luxe series, with the evil character getting what she deserved, and the good and kind characters being happy for the most part. so yeah. 

ok..........  for relating my book to real life. i can do that. the events part? not sure.......

drama is quite rampant in everyday life. those stupid disney stars and kids of stars seem to think that they have to be famous too, or that cos mommy and daddy have the cash to pay that they can be brats. it's easier to see in the former child stars that get in the news because they are drugged up and breaking laws. they all seem to follow the path of 'hey, no one's looking at me anymore, let's see what i can do to change that.' not all these kids are like that, but it's a stereotype that they should try to change.
hollywood is the biggest drama scene, as is anywhere where people watch other people 24/7.


relating to real life.............. scandals are defined a bit differently these days.... some scandals are the same, but others are not. and this is about as far into the topic of scandel that i'm gonna go...


this is as far as i can think of to make splendor fit the topic. all right then...... i'mma seee how much star wars relates to this ....... topic............

change of plans/mind.......

i decided, that since i have read a whole bunch of books already, i'm only gonna count the omnibuses as 1 book..... just to keep everything straight......... no one really cares? okay then...... i finished envy, and started splendor. not too long anymore before i start star wars. oh joy. i think i'm gonna have to make another trip to the library before spring break........

it's not over, it's not over yet!

i was super excited to read the latest three volumes of the one piece manga. that is until i found out that volume 57 comes out in JUNE 2011..... which being this summer, isn't horribly dreadful i guess. so now i have something to look forward to for may, june, and july. 

i also read volume one of alice 19th (another manga). it was good without being a soggy, girly manga. the rabbit bit was kinda weird........ but eh it's someone's story.

my final manga for a few days was gakuen alice. it was adorable, but it made me want to bash myself over the head for reading it a couple of times. but i shall prevail.

no word yet on the day i plan on finishing envy.... but it will be soon. after that i'll read the final one in that series. THEN i shall start star wars, and if i can't stomach that, i'll move on to the maureen johnson books.

just cos i feel it's needed......... not cos i really want to or have to.

i shall now translate the amount of time that i have read from minutes into hours........ this could take a while...... please stand by.

so today i started envy, which is the third book in the luxe series. this pleases me.  i am enjoying the series muchly.....  if i was to change the series..... i would cut back some of the complete idiot moves of the characters.......... if only to prevent head-bashing.  some characters make such stuuuuupid moves where the outcome is foreseen, it irritates me.  BUT i am glad that the evil chick is so easy to hate........ she's a main character, but horridly selfish and conniving.  and then the naive character is another i desire to punch in the face cos she sees the evil chick as awesome and someone to be like.  and the two sweet characters that we are supposed to adore, they do stupid things too....... like running away to california, when you could stick it to the best "friend" and marry the guy that she likes...... the best "friend" being the hated character........ all in all..... i'm really just happy that the book is paperback.

Now what you've been waiting for................ this week i read a grand total of exactly 20 hours and 20 minutes.  anyone who beat that is insane.

um...... so cos i'm sure everyone's just dieing to know how my reading is going..... i shall tell you. i finished the first book of the luxe series (entitled........ the luxe). and i'm halfway through the second one. i can't think of any reason to summarize, cos what if i read a book that someone else was gonna/ is reading and i finish before they do and summarize the whole thing and let out spoilers which totally make you mad....... i hate when people spoil the book for me. so...... i am not summarizing....... ever. unless i get told off........... even then... you shall never make me summarize!!!!!! of course...... i feel that the luxe series is going to provoke lots of head bashing....... greeeeaaaaat.

One down....... umpteen more to go.

today was a lovely trip to the dentist. the location of the dentist being 45 minutes away from home, and the fact that the family went dentisting together, made for a delightful time in which i finished the more than complete hitchhiker's guide..... and started on the luxe.  this one shall be a bit of a faster read because the print is bigger. when i finish this one, i'll take a break and read manga for a bit............ or maybe i'll read the sequel anyway. so...... i'm off to read some more......... oh and a question........... do we have to summarize what we read?

NOW for those who need to know...... i AM counting the omnibuses as multiple books (except the young zaphod one cos it's a short story) and i most likely will add more books to my list...... seeing that this will be 12 weeks and many more trips the the library.  also...... this will be more than a thousand pages...... more like 3-4000...... i mean cos the prequel trilogy is nearly a thousand pages in and of itself...... maybe if i'm lucky..... i'll end up at six thousand pages like i really want. yay! onward!

Oddities............ waaaaaaiiiiiiitttt......... what now?

So....... i finished the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, and am reading the restaurant at the end of the universe. i'm nearly done with that one too tho......... which means on to the next part of the omnibus...... life, the universe and everything.  i am gonna have to make a spot for time/pages or something........ cos i think just putting it into the blog is kinda bland....... i hope to accomplish this soon. and now......... onward!

That's ABSURD!

My life goes pretty smoothly when i get many chances to read.  today, i read not even 100 pages, yet i logged just over two hours of reading time.  i enjoy the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. it's entertaining, and makes me laugh. it starts with arthur dent discovering that his house is nearly being torn demolished.  um............ then there's this alien named ford prefect (and being the harry potter scholar that i am, i caught that it was pREfect and not pERfect) who has been trapped on earth for the last fifteen years.  now everything takes a horrible turn of things when ford lets on that the world is ending. and it eventually does. some dreadful volgans appear and the use the same excuse that the council used when arthur tells them off for not telling him that his house was being demolished. 'the plans have been there (the basement for arthur/ the alpha centuri for earth) for ages( i don't feel like grabbing exact time)'  and this could be the end of things, except for that small fact that this book has more pages.

now...... i'll add more later........ i cannot concentrate enough....... james dean is way too awesome to ignore........ i mean what with his punching the desk or his siren imitations or 'YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!!!' or 'i though only punks fought with knives'..... who could resist?

i learned a new phrase too!!! 'what the photon?'

I'm starting this..... no one can stop me now.

okay.  since i finished firelight (or whatever it's called) before my personal expiration date, i currently am bookless.  WHICH means....... i'm gonna start the complete hitchhiker's guide. and no..... it's not a book about how to be a hitchhiker bytheway..... and this should take me a bit..... seeing as it's over 600 pages and i don't think the print is ginormous either. i want to have this finished by the time star wars is in my hands.... but that's not very likely.  i should prolly read the luxe one too..... but tomorrow, with no further ado, i start the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. and i plan to read this as much as i can..... which means i might throw something if the lights get all turned off in english AGAIN!!! i cannot stand that movie!  now......... i just have to keep track of time...

I cannot wait to get started...... I've been planning to read the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy for about a month.......... and star wars since christmas break, when i watched the last two movies.  And yeah........ i hope to read many pages..... of mostly new books.... seeing as just last week i decided to reread a favorite...... but i'm gonna try to not reread the pll series....... thrice is enough..... for now...... until twisted..... 

anyhoo........  i wonder if the omnibuses count as multiple books....... hmmmmnnnn....... that's how i'm counting them...... unless i get yelled at.........
