Potato Pancakes

Haven't bloooogged for a while...... which is an understatement..... but we'll go with it.  I can't keep track of the books I've read lately, which is why I have goodreads.

goliath comes out today..... and i for one can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it. :D

so.... it's been a bit of time....... well..... at least i'm making an effort.....
i read sense and sensibility...... working on the parody now.

i read the nice boy's damn book...... well.... if i'm talking about books here, i should at least mention the name..... i read lord of the flies.  i enjoyed it.... even if it kept falling apart. :D i started buried alive (this is a bio of janis joplin), catch-22 (haven't gotten into it yet), and the lost symbol (it's going to be good, but i have to catch up on my reading)

entertainment. :D

this week, i actually finished wanted..... in case i forgot to mention that....

i read broken english. it was a murder mystery type. i thought that it was going to suck, cos we already knew that jesse sands killed janet hawkins..... the mystery actually was when a journalist was killed. it was then that we had one supposed suspect.... janet hawkins's dad. it took place in an amish town, so it was partly amish people and partly non-amish. it was good, even tho i figured out who killed the journalist. before the end...... but i didn't know a motive. so yeah. i was halfway to the solving of the crime.

i started the scorch trials. it's the sequel to the maze runner, and i'm curious how this one will end.

some totally awesome people are telling me to read books..... i have 3 recommendations..... and apparently 6 others..... my pile keeps sitting at a steady 9..... of course, my counting skills might be part of the problem.

i'm a liar.... i said there'd be more later, and there wasn't. eh.... it's not like anyone was watching.
in heartless, hanna marin thinks that bloogs are for people without lives. darn.... i guess i have no life. :D
i'm starting wanted for the third time. and i hate this omniscient feeling. i hate knowing that A is just yanking their chains, hoping to ruin them.
my favorite pretty little liar is aria. she's the one with the least amount of family problems and other problems. she's finally getting together with noel kahn, which took almost the entire first seven books. and i love noel and aria.
i have no second favorite, the rest kinda gel together in my mind with no clear division of order.

vampires suck

i hate vampires. they suck...... i think the blood factor is what makes me wanna run away. i hate blood. and so i'm never going to be a vampire.

Irritations

i guess my irritation is mostly with communication. facebook screwed up the times on my stuff.... and now i'm so lost that i had to take it out of military time and it's still not right.  


but i guess that being lost has its own perks. i finished perfect and immediately picked up unbelievable. 
i also read last sacrifice (last vampy academy book, for now).
i bought the lost symbol by dan brown (the guy who wrote the da vinci code). it's pretty good i guess.

i'm carrying on..... :D and now..... for something new.

i decided that i kinda like blooooogging....... that's cos APPARENTLY i have "jumbled thoughts." i had to quote the dear kid who used that line, he's a good guy (i think). and i need to get the "jumbled thoughts" out. besides...... alex needs some reading to catch up on. 
i'm loving vampy academy to death....... even thought the mythical creatures aren't the same as one would want them to be, at least they drink blood.... people blood. not like those fruit loops who are off hunting snape's patronus. 
i'm also reading the pretty little liars series again.   i'm already on perfect (number 3) and i'm getting the feeling that in rereading them, i'm too all-knowing. but i love the girls as much as i want to smack them upside the heads.  
in case you've actually been following this for a while, i revamped the page..... i decided that no one cares what books i've read, and of course the time stuff is obsolete.  i changed those boxes to favorite authors and recommended books. just in case anyone really wants a book to read. i mean this is the guide to readability....... sillies.

thank you, elizabeth bennet...... i love that. it sounds so funny. i'm pleased to say that the project has officially come to an end. and i'll miss bloooogging.... so i might keep the blooog. besides.... it gives me somewhere to rant. i always can do with a good rant. 
 and if the prospect of having a rant place wasn't quite so dear to me, it's always a joy to give alex something to catch up on.

alright..... got the theme. 
i liked the project, but i think that 12 weeks was a tad too long......i think it should be like 8 cos by the time you get to 12, you're feeling uggggh....... that was too long......... i'm not going to miss keeping track of time...... but maybe to get everyone to read, have them set goals like 'okay, i'll read a half hour this week.' and then watch them set those goals and keep them. that would be better than see who reads the most.
my time is too much............. and my books are too many. if i plan to keep this blooooog, that's prolly the first thing that will go, the list of books and the times. :D
otherwise, it was fun. i wish i could read all my books again for the first time..... except for maybe one or two of them. 

home stretch!!!!

ugh..... can't remember the theme for the week...... i hate when that happens.

i've got my book for the week!!! it's a nicely pictured book on lady gaga. i'm really excited to read it, even tho i don't listen to her music (or even really like it).  
i actually read some more of pride and prejudice today.... it was weird..... i felt all deja vuey. ... cos i read the zombie one recentlyish.
i got excited over the bits that were recognizable. and i still was imaging the play actors having their parts. (i keep expecting mr. collins to be a creeper like joey made him).


i libraried on saturday..... and that's when i remembered that i wanted the lady gaga book. and it was there. and i got it. and it has eyes on it.... which scare me
i also something....... oh yeah..... nope.... lost it.................. ("train of thouggggghtt!!! where are you?????")
oh yeah...... i have an awesome cookbook..... it's the UNOFFICIAL harry potter cookbook. and it has fried tomatoes in it.


i think i'll miss bloooogging...... i shall not be missing the time keeping tho. that's for the birds..... haha...... birds........ :D

today, i think i made alyssa happy....... i read a book that she wanted me to read. and i think i kinda liked it...... i mean i read the entire thing in one day.... that's cause for celebration. i love reading entire books in one day..... that's the best way to take everything in at once..... i did that when i read wanted..... then i couldn't sleep cos it was all sinking into my brain. that's a really bad thing...... when the book is so eventful and weird and crazy, that you can't sleep cos you're thinking about it. 
i read a vampire book...... and as much as i hate the blood-suckers, i had to read it, and i was captivated. i barely put it down. i still hate the blood-suckers, but i think mostly the reason that i hate them is cos of the sparkly fairies that make up the twilight series. that's really gonna ruin a species when that evil stephanie meyer massacres them. ugh..... i've never been good with blood tho..... i actually put a book down once cos within the first ten pages was a horrific description of a bloody nose.. ick.

dragons!!!

i love dragons...... they are the kind of creature that i'd have for a pet if only i could. 
my book is adorable. i really like the dragon. his name is nonesuch and he shrank.  he used to be a big dragon, but when he went to find his grandmother and to hide the treasure close to the center of the earth, something happened and he now shrinks if he doesn't eat.
i want a tiny dragon. i think it would be easier to keep than a ginormous one. and it would eat less...... but then i would have to find some other way of defense against meanies....... ickle dragons aren't up for eating people. :(
the other thing i like is that the dragon's treasure is a book. i love books, so it appeals to me. 
it's such a short book, that i'm going to be done with it like ten minutes ago....... okay.... not quite.......... i should be done with it, but i'm not is what i'm trying to say......

theme......

i decided to take a theme out of the most recent (as of right now) book that i have finished.  so i'm using the da vinchi code.

i thought that the appropriate theme for the poor albino would be "don't trust the guy who won't tell you his name or show you his face especially if he wants you to kill people."

the theme for robert langdon would be "be careful of knights. cos they are slippery buggers."

yup..... proud of myself for finding a theme....... mayhap i'll find one by thursday for the dragon book.

*frownyface* i finished the da vinchi code...... after it got over the bogus about mary magdalene for the most part, it was much much better.... and ONCE AGAIN i was fooled by the guy who seemed so nice........ dude........ i'm getting scared... if i judge book characters so badly, how am i going to do judging real people?


started a book dragon.... and and and it has pictures. it's awesome..... i asked my 'rentals for a dragon for my birthday..... i think i just got an eyeroll........ :(

i dislike this week's theme....... i hate themes in books as much as i hate essays........... i wish that they both would die a horrible fiery death (essays and themes).


alright........... i'm ready for the end now....... really ready, cos i can't stand timing myself reading........ my times aren't even all the time i spend reading..... i read way more than i post..... it's just the stuff that i really don't care to read for english. :D

i decided that since the main theme in sweeney todd seemed to be revenge, it was a good topic.  i felt really horrible after reading it..... and not because the londonfolk were eating people. i felt horrible that sweeney todd was tricked by mrs. lovett, and that in trying to get what they wanted, everything tumbled down around their ears.  

my friend courtney told me that the sweeney todd story is based on a true story. she didn't know details, but some guy was selling really tasty people sausages.......... ew.

revenge is a dish best served cold.  i believe that in this case, it's best served piping hot and with a nice beverage....... and to unsuspecting people. :D




ps.... i stake my claim on pride and prejudice and zombies for the book list..... anyone who lists it will be frowned upon.

i've officially seen the deathly hallows part 2 first trailer like 5 times...... in one night....... i'm sooooooo excited...... words do not suffice.

i guess i know the answer, but i really would love to be able to read on my own again.... without paying attention to how much time i'm spending reading. 
the project has proved again and again how much time i spend with my nose in a book...... too much...... i mean more than i should be spending......... it's a love-hate thing......... i love to read, but hate myself for reading like all the time.

i started sweeney todd..... why? cos the thing that was annoying me was the whole religious theme in the da vinchi code...... i guess it was kinda messing with me, i decided to leave it alone for a bit and read about the demon barber of fleet street. that one would be easy to put a song to, cos it's a musical..... but i have to come up with a bible passage...... *sets out to google* i'll find a good one.... otherwise i'll return to the da vinchi code. :D

anyways....... i finished girl in the arena, which totally sucked compared to what i was imagining...... i was imagining more fighting..... it was pretty boring.
i was actually ready to start sense and sensibility, but i felt to icky to start.

i like anime....... it's a recent habit..... sit down to my government sheet and some anime. bleach mostly....... which is why i'm reading bleach manga too.and i found out that. it's one of those things tho, that i'll give up sooner or later..........
watching a movie now......... it's a strange movie............ honestly.

so i was super excited to see that grace kelly's wedding was one of the top searches on bing images. i love grace kelly. but then i had to search for images for my book...... i'm currently reading four? um..... john belushi is dead; pride and prejudice; the da vinchi code; girl in the arena; and scott pilgrim (but i'm nearly done with volume 4 so i'll be ready with bleach 2). dude...... that's five.

after spending much time eating today...... i read and read and read.... i managed to finish angels and demons. i now understand how it can captivate people........ it was absolutely amazing. i loved it. i didn't predict who the bad guy behind the whole thing was, not at all. the whole thing was grand. i recommend this book for those who don't freak out at strange and rather gross things....... like blood spurting out of the stabbed lungs..... icky. totally gross. nasty. anyhoo...... it was a good book.

and now........

So, my goals have been surpassed....... 'nuff said.
enjoying p&p&z muchly. even if it disgusts natalie. i really like that elizabeth tried killing mr. darcy (highlight of my day). and there was even a picture!!!!!! i think that it would have been an exciting scene to add to the play..... i'd be entertained by seeing kelcey attempting to kill josh....... i mean even if mr. darcy isn't as horrible as we are supposed to imagine.... the play really didn't have much substance in the whole after elizabeth gets proposed to, except for a bit of remorse in misunderstanding.

bytheway.... mr. darcy has a funny name....... fitzwilliam..... i mean in case i haven't mentioned how funny his name is already, i had to mention it............

bad day.......

thought today was thursday, and i also almost fell asleep this morning...... i never sleep in class...... honest!!!! my leg fell asleep tho....... i nearly stood up to get the feeling back.

i'm feeling all nappy now, time for bed i guess...... english project is being an epic fail......... i really am mad at this project.

zombies do make jane austen better, but not totally better, it still has that jane austen overtone, no matter how much elizabeth starts blushing at mr. darcy...... when he says something awkward........... which is a few times......... mr. darcy has a funny name.... one of the weird ones that i think would be better as a last name....... fitzwilliam.......... it makes me laugh....... and poor charlotte........ i keep thinking poor becky when i read about the um.......... zombification (drat..... i hope no one was expecting the main characters to escape unscathed or who had planned on reading this).  i catch some lines that i recognize from the play, but i'm waiting to read something that says that the play was wrong..... i mean i know that some stuff is totally faked from the original, but i'm trying to think what the play lied about.

i have no opinion on some of the characters, but i really dislike caroline bingley, she's evil..... as is mrs. hurst.

elizabeth is more violent..... she was going to cut mr. darcy's throat before the unmentionables showed up. it was exciting. and she nommed on a heart. it was gross.

i'm in for it now....

i've really gone off the deep end...... i checked out sense and sensability. but i also checked out the sea monsters one too...... just to make up for sense and sensability. i only checked it out so that i would know what was happening in the sea monsters one. i'm also going to reread pride and prejudice. if i die from reading these, alyssa gets my harry potter, katie gets my flute, kelsey and marta can fight over my locker, and whatever else i really don't care about. anyways.... i hope to survive... i survive every other time i think i'm going to die. :D

but of course, according to alex, zombies make everything better, and he should know this best, seeing as he lives on zombie road, home of the zombie sighting. :D :D :D there you go, alex.

halfway done at this moment in time

i'm proud to say that i'm about halfway done with pride and prejudice and zombies: dawn of the dreadfuls. it's absolutely delightful.... was gonna say tasty, but thought better, seeing as the zombies eat people and themselves..... icky icky icky, but i like the fact that it's not as totally proper as actual jane austen.  unfortunately, i keep imagining mrs. bennet having hannah's voice...... in this bit, hill is actually mrs. hill, and i'm laughing cos bret was hill..... the old guy....... i'm actually going to reread er... skim the original after i finish the parody to see if hill is a female character there too. i'm immensely enjoying this book and must finish it cos of this.  i find it much easier to read a book if it's interesting and delightful.

anyhoo....

i nearly checked our sense and sensability and sea monsters. i had it in my hands even, no... i had it in my stack. but then i decided that i should really read the stack of books that i DO have and not start any scary sea monster novels of which i have not read the book that it is based upon. i did however, check out pride and prejudice and zombies. man.... i bet that would have been a much more exciting show that the boring ol' pride and prejudice with no scene changes play that i saw last weekend. :D no offense guys.... but the scenery was napful at best. it could have used some other scenes. :D :D :D

i also have a coffee cookbook..... which leads me to ask if cookbooks count as reading time...... i would like to know.....

hey look!!!

this week was pitiful in the books. i read several volumes and was in hate with the evil chick in one. i'm enjoying angels and demons immensly, and not just because the bad guys are trying to blow up the vatican. i miss star wars, because i liked the sci-fi part. :D :D :D :D :D
i think now is a good time to rant....... stupid chapel with high school musical!!!!! i hate high school musical, and even tho headmaster zefron would tell us that we're all in this together, sometimes i want to strangle the smiling face of the boss zefron poster. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i really feel that the catchyness of showtunes is to be loathed.....well, just the horrible showtunes. i love certain showtunes.... but mostly in small doses, and none of that singyhappy high school musical type.

sad day.... :'(

darth vader is dead, palpatine is dead, the empire is dead.
luke and leia and han solo and artoo and threepio and chewie and even lando and the millennium falcon live.
for some reason, i keep thinking that land and the millennium falcon blew up in the movie. pretty sure that i'm imagining things, but not too sure. 
that's right all, i finished return of the jedi. and now i'm sad.
i thought for a little bit about rereading p&p, but after looking at it, i decided that since i hated the book so much the first time i read it, there is no way i'm going to read it again. :D a wise decision. now onto other brighter books. hopefully i get to read some more sci-fi.

i'mma be sad soon......

i'm officially started with episode six. i'm horribly sad. i love star wars... the second half anyways...... anyways..... there isn't a whole bunch to say today... except that my book has pictures in it. it's supposed to have 8 pages of pix..... but one fell out and is lost forever. i'm sad about that... but it's ok.... i have eowk pictures now. :D

skywalker family reunion....... now where's that puppy chow darth vader promised?

DARTH VADER SPILLED THE BEANS!!!!! he said 'luke, i am your father.' it's great and terrible and scary all at the same time......
darth vader is supposed to bring puppy chow to the skywalker family reunion.... which has yet to have all members present and accounted for. and we all know who i mean.... leia!
leia and han are totally in love.... but since luke was hanging out with yoda for that time, he's kinda out of the loop. 
i really like lando... even if he sells out han to darth vader and gets han frozen in carbonite. lando has a cool name..... :D
i'm done with episode five now..... which means that since i picked up episode 6 at the box sale, i can now return this book safely to the library. i think i'm going to miss it. i'll prolly end up buying the last three episodes some day.

I HATE YOUGURT!!! ESPECIALLY WITH STRAWBERRIES!!!! gotta love spaceballs....... and the thing i love best about spaceballs is that it's hilarious.... i love it lots. 



my biggest concern now is what the heck am i going to write an article on for friday???????? 

luke is totally better than anakin...... there is no other way.

my reading for today so far, has brought me to the planet of hoth..... the frozen planet..... luke has escaped the wampa, and been tucked into the tummy of a tauntaun.... i vividly remember this part cos it was gross. anyways...... also...... leia has kissed her brother like 3 times...... it's so awkward to know that they are siblings and they don't. poor leia...... i wonder what they think when they find out that they are siblings..... at least leia has a crush on han solo.......... i mean yeah. 


i was sad...... horribly sad when obi wan kenobi died. i was like 'no! it's obi wan kenobi! you cannot just kill him you jerk!' i hate anakin for that... he killed his old teacher. NOW when yoda dies, that will be the end of the jedi from the pre-darth vader era. i liked obi wan... and i love yoda. i've decided that i'm watching the movies when i finish the books so that i can compare... but these are seeming like a novelization of the movies to me..... even if they aren't (at least i'm pretty sure they aren't..... but i'm prolly wrong.). i am getting excited for the end..... cos that means that then i can move on to different books.... and i can watch the movies.
as i said.... i'm reading the angels and demons book next after star wars...... which is before the da vinchi code. i've seen one of the kids running around with a dan brown book, so i'm wondering if he read the da vinchi code or not. and i insist that the angels and demons be as well written and entertaining as most of the books i read..... actually.... i'll go for better written.... seeing as they are targeting an adult audience..... not a teen one. i'm also looking for more sci-fi after the rest of my books..... i guess i'll have to raid my dad's sci-fi shelves...... he has a bunch.... and i'm sure that he's be happy if i read at least one of his books. he told me that i should read a handful of his books, and i don't want to because i have my own required reading list.

i can't wait to finish the star wars series..... so i think i'll call this good and either go do some homework or hang out with luke and leia and han and chewie and the droids (artoo and threepio).

to read or not to read....... ha..... LAMENESS!!!!!

i'm about halfway through reading a new hope..... and i'm loving it lots. i liked discovering how everything works together. i mean i was unsure of how R2 D2 and C 3PO ended up with luke and how he met leia (not Quite that far yet..... but getting there.... han solo and chewie and luke and obi wan (they call him ben now.....) just got to the death star after darth vader blew up alderaan.

background details!!! luke is from tatooine. he was raised by his step-uncle owen and aunt beru. 
obi wan brought luke to tatooine and went into hiding there because darth vader was out trying to kill all the jedi for senator palpatine aka darth sidious, the sith leader.
leia was adopted by bail organa, and was raised as the princess of alderaan. she is also a senator, and was on a diplomatic trip when imperial troops took over the ship. 

LUKE AND LEIA ARE TWINS. separated at birth, they are the only children of anakin skywalker and padme amidala. they have no clue that they are related. obi wan knows and yoda and a couple others, but otherwise not even anakin knows (he was darth vader when the duo was born).

C3PO and R2D2 are on this ship. bail organa took the two when padme died after the twins were born, and wiped C3PO's memory so that he wouldn't blow leia's cover. R2D2 seems to have avoided getting a memory wipe because he talks in beeps anyways....... but i'm not entirely sure.
han solo is some random pilot that obi wan picked up when he and luke have to leave to save leia. 
chewbacca is a wookie. he's pretty cool..... he's pretty smart too.... and he roars. he's with han as a pilot. 
i think that's all the background details...... i prolly will get some more....... 

i really like the second half of the star wars series.... at least what i've read. it's much better because it doesn't have anakin (ok...... i should prolly remind everyone that anakin and darth vader are the same guy....... so he's still around, just a tad bit more likable... if less huggable and lovable. of course no one wants to hug a guy who'll use the force to strangle you....






i can't wait until i get to the planet with the ewoks..... they were absolutely adorable in the movie...... of course this was in return of the jedi......... so i have a few hundred pages yet. :D i have to finish this by thursday so i can take it back to the library. the library doesn't look to fondly upon those who fail to return items.  at least they don't string people up by their ankles for not returning stuff on time.... that would have been a lot of blood to my head as a child................................ quite more than needed.


i also have to count some pages. blast those graphic novels that don't number their pages!!!!!! this shall take some time.... seeing as they have more than a hundred pages.  but they are counting as books. i think this counts as a blooooooog theme of my choice. i'm catching everyone up on the main characters. er except darth vader...... but i caught up a little on him.....

:D :D :D finished prolly the biggest book i've ever read..... O.O

today i finally finished the prequel trilogy for star wars. i'm pretty happy.... cos i had thought that by today i should be done with it. i'm really mad at anakin cos HE killed padme even though he thought he was trying to save her. anakin is an idiot. he should have just left padme be. NO he has to try and strangle her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jerk. that's horrible. but i'm glad that luke and leia are the new hope for the jedi, even though anakin killed almost all of the other jedi. anakin and darth sidious killed all the jedi except for obi wan kenobi and yoda. i love yoda, cos he's got a weird way of talking and cos he's a little green guy. he's also pretty funny when luke finds him on the swamp planet in like the fifth one.......... anyhoo.... i know now why luke and leia are where they are when i started watching 5........ i like luke better than anakin by a lot. i am just saying that cos anakin is evil. he's darth vader. but of course voldemort totally owns darth vader. i have the picture to prove it even.

but the reason voldemort has no children is cos he had no love ever. anakin used to have love and know love, but people die, he was manipulated by evil so that was why padme died....

so yeah

 

taking the easy way out.

today i was told that i had it easy with my theme song..... just use the star wars theme...... i think i'll use that as back up..... i mean after hating on anakin again.

today i also want to scream about the whole omniscience...... i hate omnipotent third person. it makes me want to scream and pull my hair out when I myself know who the sith lord, darth sidious, actually is when the rest of the cast just thinks it's someone near palpatine instead of palpatine himself. and i hate how palpatine is playing on anakin's weakness of wanting to save his friends. i am annoyed that anakin is letting his failure to save his mother ruin his life cos he keeps thinking 'one day earlier and she would have lived' i want him to die. i hate him so much. i mean luke and leia are gonna be coming into the world soon........ i wish anakin would just go away and die.... die so that he can't become the next sith leader. i mean i would rather that he die than to be used against the people he cares about. 

i'm also mad cos my best friend told me that mace windu dies.... and he has a purple light saber......... i'm mad cos i know he dies i just can't remember who kills him. which is an odd thing to be mad about..... but still.... i also am mad cos i know he dies so i keep thinking 'he dies' 

i'm glad that i know that obi wan knew luke cos i know he doesn't die until luke is older.... and seeing as luke isn't even born yet, i know obi wan has many years yet.

i hate anakin..... i'mma try finding a vid devoted to anakin hating. :D

i'm totally an anakin hater. totally.

i decided to blog a theme song for anakin dearest before i forget. when i think of anakin, i think stupid girl (only in hollywood) by saving abel...... and this is an odd choice seeing as anakin is neither a girl nor in hollywood. i mean seeing as it's long ago in a galaxy far far away......... but anyhoo....... i think it's fitting as a theme song for anakin..... maybe i'm being harsh with calling him a girl.... but i'm not too fond of dear annie in case you couldn't tell. :D

 as i listen to this... i realize it isn't the perfect theme song.... but it will work until i sit down at my computer and listen to my tunes. i prolly have a good on in there like a song that a song that actually totally hits the nail on the head..... mostly i like calling anakin a girl, and a stupid one.... i think it gets the whole stupid girl part cos he's totally stupid with the whole padme thing and when he tries to show off as a smarty in front of the fancy guys. and gets in trouble with obi-wan.... so i guess it really fits.

i love this song too..... maybe that helps a bit too.

i really really hate anakin to death. in case i have not made this completely clear.

book sales..... buying by the boxful.

today there was a booksale at the fairgrounds. five bucks a box. my dad and i ended up with 2 boxes stuffed to the top with 103 books and 3 movies. i had 29 books..... about half being cookbooks. i'm excited to say that i got some books so i have some more to read for english when i run out of library books. i love getting books. anyhoo.... it started at ten and we got there early. since the weather was horrible, the nice lady let us people in at least ten minutes early. there were loads of people. it was loads of fun except for when i had to babysit the book boxes. i was stuck by the cookbooks.... so i prolly ended up with more cookbooks than necessary. i cannot wait to read some of my new books.


anyways.... i finished nevermore, and that writer lady had better write a sequel.... or else i shall be angry, cos it totally needed a better ending..... the isobel chick has to go to baltimore to find the poe toaster. i'm waiting.

heist society is being a riot. i really love how much this chick's picture reminds me of audrey hepburn. and i like that it seems to be an original storyline.

having fun. hope all are well. weather's horrible. onward!

Spring Break!!!!!! ok.... i seem way too excited about blogging.....

I read several books over this last week.  i read suite scarlett and loved it; i read scarlett fever and adored max (i love max..... he's a riot); i read gakuen alice volumes 3,4, and 5; and i read bright young things and wanted to facepalm when the characters were idiots...... which seems to be a common characteristic with anna godberson's characters.... i'm reading nevermore, and plan to be done with it before monday, when after reading heist society (the chick on the cover makes me think of audrey hepburn.... a partial reason for picking it up), i shall pick up star wars again.... when i finish the first book, i'll read scott pilgrim volumes 2 and 3, then read the last star wars. 

my habits actually are reading...... i read a lot...... i have no idea what habits i could change..... unless i give up listening to music or something weird like that...... i listen to music as much as possible...... i can't deal with silence of any sort because if it's to quiet, my imagination runs away and i imagine things that aren't actually there......

i could bake cupcakes or something..... but iono about that.... i want to make cupcakes with people... not by myself........... why am i talking about cupcakes?

anyhoo..... i read tons more this week....... loads more than i did last week.... actually.... more than the last two weeks combined. i was reading more this week because i was reading something that is truly exciting with bigger print. when i get to the library next, i'm going to take a peek at sundays at tiffanys.

Since apparently i should make another post. goodness......

I'm disappointed at my reading times this week. BUT next week being spring break, i shall read more. i'm looking forward to reading more that strusz.



i'm changing books for the moment, cos i'm sick on anakin and padme. i really want to read suite scarlett (well actually.... i want to read scarlett fever more...... but that one is the sequel.... sooooooo my obvious answer is suite scarlett first), so that's what i'm gonna read tomorrow. i decided that changing books is just what i need to get my times back up where i want them. i also made a trip to the library, where i picked out at least a half a dozen books, three of them being on hold for me to pick up. i also was triumphant in getting a parking space today, which enabled me to go in and not have to drive away dejected. 



i made applesauce today, and black and white cookies..... they both tasted passable.... not excellent.... but it was a first try for both. i totally just thought that the entire world needed to know that bytheway......

this game made me head onto bing for a search for cookie recipes. i was excited to find the black and white cookies recipe. i think that a cafe/ coffee shop would be really cool if it had different types of cookies that are native to different areas of the world/ country all gathered into one place and listed under their variations of names.  i hope to find recipes that are tasty for as many of the cookies shown as i can. obviously, i am not going to find an oreo recipe, but i'll try to find different recipes. when i have found and worked a tasty recipe, i'll bring them in to try. i think a place that had these different types of cookies, would give people a change to try something new. i want to create that place.

Enter Darth Maul

Ok, let's get this straight right away, i cannot stand darth maul. i think the spikes on his head are a little too much decoration. i do like darth vader tho, cos he just wants a cookie.

ALSO...... i finished the first star wars story...... phantom menace. from back when anakin was a little kid with big dreams.
anakin is the cause of problems.

my last trip to the library building kinda sucked, cos i didn't even get to go inside. i just dropped my stuff in the box and drove away. and the time before that, i helped hannah pick out some books.
the time i want to remember was the time i ran into my best friend at the library. i had the cutest cupcake book, and was coming out when i saw someone who looked familiar. it turned out to be my best friend and her new boyfriend. i had to stop and talk, and yeah. of course, i doooooo look at the books too.
so there. and i'm not logging any time yet, cos SOMEONE can't get the correct times. i know that i read for more than 20:20 total, so SOMEONE should make sure to get the PROPER TIMES taken. that's all.

This week in my news

i made it back to the land of the living in time for today...... oh joy. mt numbers were lower this week cos i was sick tuesday and wednesday, and then i just didn't have a desire to read......... must be cos the two jedi met jar jar. actually........ that was near the end of my reading time yesterday (i was feling better yesterday, just not schoolworthy) and i already hate jar jar. i liked the little anakin kid tho........ notice i said the LITTLE anakin KID. i refuse to believe that he and darth vader are one and the same. i also don't see yet how he (as darth vader) and luke and leia can be related........ i think when i am done reading star wars, i'm going to watch the movies..... ugh. this is more plans!

i posted my time for the week in a box with a slot set aside just for week two time. i'm not mentioning this twice. 


PS.!!! I HOPE THAT MY THEMED POST IS ACCEPTABLE. COS IF IT'S NOT!!!!! i shall roll my eyes and ignore the next weeks rules or something.

I can't believe that it's time to read yet another book........

I'm pleased to say that i finished splendor, bringing my total of books to ten.
this week progress will most likely be slower, as the enormity of the task i am undertaking is finally hitting me.
i enjoyed finishing the luxe series, with the evil character getting what she deserved, and the good and kind characters being happy for the most part. so yeah. 

ok..........  for relating my book to real life. i can do that. the events part? not sure.......

drama is quite rampant in everyday life. those stupid disney stars and kids of stars seem to think that they have to be famous too, or that cos mommy and daddy have the cash to pay that they can be brats. it's easier to see in the former child stars that get in the news because they are drugged up and breaking laws. they all seem to follow the path of 'hey, no one's looking at me anymore, let's see what i can do to change that.' not all these kids are like that, but it's a stereotype that they should try to change.
hollywood is the biggest drama scene, as is anywhere where people watch other people 24/7.


relating to real life.............. scandals are defined a bit differently these days.... some scandals are the same, but others are not. and this is about as far into the topic of scandel that i'm gonna go...


this is as far as i can think of to make splendor fit the topic. all right then...... i'mma seee how much star wars relates to this ....... topic............

change of plans/mind.......

i decided, that since i have read a whole bunch of books already, i'm only gonna count the omnibuses as 1 book..... just to keep everything straight......... no one really cares? okay then...... i finished envy, and started splendor. not too long anymore before i start star wars. oh joy. i think i'm gonna have to make another trip to the library before spring break........

it's not over, it's not over yet!

i was super excited to read the latest three volumes of the one piece manga. that is until i found out that volume 57 comes out in JUNE 2011..... which being this summer, isn't horribly dreadful i guess. so now i have something to look forward to for may, june, and july. 

i also read volume one of alice 19th (another manga). it was good without being a soggy, girly manga. the rabbit bit was kinda weird........ but eh it's someone's story.

my final manga for a few days was gakuen alice. it was adorable, but it made me want to bash myself over the head for reading it a couple of times. but i shall prevail.

no word yet on the day i plan on finishing envy.... but it will be soon. after that i'll read the final one in that series. THEN i shall start star wars, and if i can't stomach that, i'll move on to the maureen johnson books.

just cos i feel it's needed......... not cos i really want to or have to.

i shall now translate the amount of time that i have read from minutes into hours........ this could take a while...... please stand by.

so today i started envy, which is the third book in the luxe series. this pleases me.  i am enjoying the series muchly.....  if i was to change the series..... i would cut back some of the complete idiot moves of the characters.......... if only to prevent head-bashing.  some characters make such stuuuuupid moves where the outcome is foreseen, it irritates me.  BUT i am glad that the evil chick is so easy to hate........ she's a main character, but horridly selfish and conniving.  and then the naive character is another i desire to punch in the face cos she sees the evil chick as awesome and someone to be like.  and the two sweet characters that we are supposed to adore, they do stupid things too....... like running away to california, when you could stick it to the best "friend" and marry the guy that she likes...... the best "friend" being the hated character........ all in all..... i'm really just happy that the book is paperback.

Now what you've been waiting for................ this week i read a grand total of exactly 20 hours and 20 minutes.  anyone who beat that is insane.

um...... so cos i'm sure everyone's just dieing to know how my reading is going..... i shall tell you. i finished the first book of the luxe series (entitled........ the luxe). and i'm halfway through the second one. i can't think of any reason to summarize, cos what if i read a book that someone else was gonna/ is reading and i finish before they do and summarize the whole thing and let out spoilers which totally make you mad....... i hate when people spoil the book for me. so...... i am not summarizing....... ever. unless i get told off........... even then... you shall never make me summarize!!!!!! of course...... i feel that the luxe series is going to provoke lots of head bashing....... greeeeaaaaat.

One down....... umpteen more to go.

today was a lovely trip to the dentist. the location of the dentist being 45 minutes away from home, and the fact that the family went dentisting together, made for a delightful time in which i finished the more than complete hitchhiker's guide..... and started on the luxe.  this one shall be a bit of a faster read because the print is bigger. when i finish this one, i'll take a break and read manga for a bit............ or maybe i'll read the sequel anyway. so...... i'm off to read some more......... oh and a question........... do we have to summarize what we read?

Oddities............ waaaaaaiiiiiiitttt......... what now?

So....... i finished the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, and am reading the restaurant at the end of the universe. i'm nearly done with that one too tho......... which means on to the next part of the omnibus...... life, the universe and everything.  i am gonna have to make a spot for time/pages or something........ cos i think just putting it into the blog is kinda bland....... i hope to accomplish this soon. and now......... onward!

That's ABSURD!

My life goes pretty smoothly when i get many chances to read.  today, i read not even 100 pages, yet i logged just over two hours of reading time.  i enjoy the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. it's entertaining, and makes me laugh. it starts with arthur dent discovering that his house is nearly being torn demolished.  um............ then there's this alien named ford prefect (and being the harry potter scholar that i am, i caught that it was pREfect and not pERfect) who has been trapped on earth for the last fifteen years.  now everything takes a horrible turn of things when ford lets on that the world is ending. and it eventually does. some dreadful volgans appear and the use the same excuse that the council used when arthur tells them off for not telling him that his house was being demolished. 'the plans have been there (the basement for arthur/ the alpha centuri for earth) for ages( i don't feel like grabbing exact time)'  and this could be the end of things, except for that small fact that this book has more pages.

now...... i'll add more later........ i cannot concentrate enough....... james dean is way too awesome to ignore........ i mean what with his punching the desk or his siren imitations or 'YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!!!' or 'i though only punks fought with knives'..... who could resist?

i learned a new phrase too!!! 'what the photon?'

okay.  since i finished firelight (or whatever it's called) before my personal expiration date, i currently am bookless.  WHICH means....... i'm gonna start the complete hitchhiker's guide. and no..... it's not a book about how to be a hitchhiker bytheway..... and this should take me a bit..... seeing as it's over 600 pages and i don't think the print is ginormous either. i want to have this finished by the time star wars is in my hands.... but that's not very likely.  i should prolly read the luxe one too..... but tomorrow, with no further ado, i start the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. and i plan to read this as much as i can..... which means i might throw something if the lights get all turned off in english AGAIN!!! i cannot stand that movie!  now......... i just have to keep track of time...

I cannot wait to get started...... I've been planning to read the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy for about a month.......... and star wars since christmas break, when i watched the last two movies.  And yeah........ i hope to read many pages..... of mostly new books.... seeing as just last week i decided to reread a favorite...... but i'm gonna try to not reread the pll series....... thrice is enough..... for now...... until twisted..... 

anyhoo........  i wonder if the omnibuses count as multiple books....... hmmmmnnnn....... that's how i'm counting them...... unless i get yelled at.........
